Maeve was a Dra'kar Sin'ra, or Dragonsinger. Harkin was an Anari, her anonymous Guardian. Their relationship was taboo and so, after they married, Harkin pretended to be a forest elf like his wife. Chandra remained unaware of this and her own abilities as a Dragonsinger until many years after her parents death.
Harkin and Maeve were killed in a rockfall in the mountains
Saoirse is better known as Sorrow. She was taken from her parents
immediately after her birth and knows very little about them. Chandra was
not told that she had a twin sister.
